4:30 We hurried back to the hostel to go to an ACROBAT show.

The group at the show
It wasn't what I was expecting- alot of the tricks were the kinds of things I see at highschool football game half time shows. Though they did have some excellent tricks with FIVE motorcycles in a huge ball, and intense balancing acts.

It only lasted an hour and was way too short for my taste but I loved it anyway.

After the show we all got lost trying to go to the famous silk market. The subway was shut down at our station and the cab drivers were out to get us but finally we made it to the mall. The silk market is a five story crazy house. It is like a mall but packed with little booths in aisles. They sell everything you could ever want and the sales people speak a little bit of every language. It was really stressful and you bargain with the people which was addicting but emotional sometimes. We ended up going to the silk market every day for at least two hours- sometimes only coming out with one item. It was intense.
The silk market closes at 9:00 so after that we went and looked at the Olympic bird's nest. We weren't able to get up close to the birds nest but it was still an amazing sight.

Me and the nest
We also passed a park that would be the ultimate date night, if I was back in the states. It had rollerblading and karaoke just out in the open area. Very cool, very China. I love it.
